It was her... ...from a voluptuous-sounding voice at three in the morning. "Johnny, I need your help!" she whispered, not even waiting for me to answer the phone. "What's wrong?" I answered, "And who are you?" "I can't talk right now!" she said, still whispering, "I'll call you back in two hours!" "But..." Then nothing but the silence that follows the click of a phone hanging up. I was awake now, so I got up and made some coffee, although I certainly didn't need it to stay awake. How could I sleep after a phone call like that! To kill the two hours, I started to read yesterday's newspaper... Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar. I sign this first because I may not live through it.
